In this doc, we'll show you how to add a dynamic date and time to your Kit emails.

There are a few additional steps to complete as well -

If you want to add the Deadline Funnel email timer to your Kit emails, you can follow the instructions here: How to add the Deadline Funnel Email Timer to your Kit emails

Note: You need to integrate your Deadline Funnel campaign with Kit before you can use the custom field.

Video Tutorial:

How to find the name of your Custom Field

In your campaign, navigate to the 'Emails' tab in the left hand menu.

In the top section of this page you'll see your Integration settings listed, including your Custom Field:

How to use the custom field in your email

Important Note: There can be a delay between when the webhook triggers the deadline for a subscriber and when the subscriber's custom field gets populated with their deadline. Because of this, we recommend that you don't use the custom field in your emails until at least one day after the deadline is initially triggered.

In your email editor, place the cursor where you want to add the dynamic date and time, click the plus next to the text, and then click Personalization:

Click the Subscriber custom fields dropdown and select the custom field that you specified in your integration with Deadline Funnel and then click Add to email:

This will insert the first name placeholder into your email:

When you send yourself the sequence email, you will see that the placeholder has been replaced with the deadline text format you chose in your setup.

Note : You must send the actual sequence after the deadline has been triggered so there is a deadline to display. The placeholder will not be replaced in a test message. You can send the sequence to yourself first to test the delivery.
