In this doc, we'll show you How to Set Up Sales Tracking with Deadline Funnel and ConvertKit. There are a few additional steps to complete as well -

Before we get started, let's look at how our Sales Tracking works in Deadline Funnel.

Similar to triggering a deadline, Deadline Funnel Sales Tracking works through a tag being added to your contact in ConvertKit. But instead of creating a tracking record for your subscriber under the 'Tracking Started' section of your Analytics and assigning a deadline to it when the tag is added, it will create a tracking record under the 'Sales Tracked' section. This Sales Tracking record will have the email of the subscriber, the date of the purchase, and the amount and currency that you specify when you set up the tag.

It's important to note that a Sales Tracking record will be added to your Deadline Funnel campaign any time the tag you choose is added to a contact in ConvertKit. So it's very important that you use a tag that only gets applied when the purchase you want to track happens.

How to set up Sales Tracking with ConvertKit

Ideally, you will already have your email platform connected to Deadline Funnel under the Integrations tab. But if you haven't connected them yet, you can review this guide, where you'll find instructions on how to connect your accounts.

Once that step is complete, you can continue with the rest of this guide.

Head to Campaigns > Integrations in the top blue bar:

Now select New Integration for the campaign you would like to track sales for, then choose Create Sales Tracking in the popup and click next:

Make sure ConvertKit is selected and click next:

Now select your ConvertKit account and click next:

Choose your currency and the value for each sale, select your Purchased tag, and then click Create Webhook:

When you click 'Create Webhook', Deadline Funnel will create a Rule in your ConvertKit account that runs the Sales Tracking webhook based on the Purchased tag being added. So now all you need to do is make sure you have a Rule set up that is adding that Purchased tag when someone actually purchases your product, and you're all set!

You can view your results in the Sales Tracked section of Analytics:

Tracking Sales at Different Price Points

Let's say you have an offer that people can either purchase for $197 or $297, and you want to track when people purchase at either of those price points inside of Deadline Funnel.

Firstly, in order to do this, you will need to have a way to differentiate the two price points between your checkout software and ConvertKit, and you'll want to tag them according to which price they paid.

Once you have two separate tags being applied based on the price they purchase at, you'll follow the usual steps to create your first webhook rule in ConvertKit to trigger a sale based on the $197 purchase tag.

After you've created that first webhook rule, on that same page you'll simply change the trigger tag to the $297 purchase tag and adjust the value of the sale to $297. The page will automatically update with a new 'Create Webhook Rule' button, which you can click to create a second webhook rule in ConvertKit for the second price point.

You can navigate to your Rules in ConvertKit to confirm that there are two webhook rules, one for the $197 offer and one for the $297 offer.

And that's it! Now if someone purchases at the $197 price they will show up as a $197 sale in Deadline Funnel, and if they purchase at $297, they will show up as a $297 sale.
