ConvertHub is unable to know whether your custom event's webhook is correctly installed in your ESP, so it's important to test the custom event following its creation.

Before you start the test, make sure that you've completed the following steps:

πŸš€ Add a test subscriber to your automation

In this example, we're using ActiveCampaign, but similar steps will apply to your ESP. Our example uses a tag being added to the subscriber as the trigger to add them to the automation. Once they enter the automation, they'll trigger the webhook to create the custom event.

To start the test, we'll make sure a test subscriber is added to this automation. Keep in mind that this test event cannot be deleted and will be used in Social Proof going forward.

πŸ”Ž Confirm that an event was added to your Custom Event

The first step is to make sure an event was registered under Portals >> Custom Events and then check Recent Activity for your Custom Event (you might need to give this a few minutes).

Now open one of the pages that you added to Portal and make sure that the test event is showing in Social Proof:

That's it! You've now confirmed that your Custom Event was created successfully.
