Increase your conversions and sales with Deadline Funnel + Shopify through high-converting evergreen marketing campaigns. These include Welcome Offers (email offer after someone opts in), Abandoned Cart campaigns, and Winback campaigns.
Give each lead a unique deadline (and unique discount code) for your special offer:
→ Integrate Deadline Funnel with your email automation to generate a unique deadline and discount code for each lead
→ Embed the Deadline Funnel email timer in your emails to show each lead their unique deadline
→ Add the Deadline Funnel floating bar to your Shopify pages to show each lead their unique deadline when they click from your email to your offer
→ Automatically apply each lead’s unique discount code when they click on a Deadline Funnel email link in your automation and add your product to their cart.
Follow these steps to create your evergreen campaign, and if you have any questions please chat with our team through the messenger in your account, email us at help [at] deadlinefunnel [dot] com, or schedule a quick call with our team.
1. Create a New Campaign
Create a new campaign in Deadline Funnel and select Shopify Welcome Series, Shopify Abandoned Cart, or Shopify Winback as the campaign type:
Choose your deadline (you can change this later) and click Create Campaign:
2. Configure Your Automatic Discount
Configure the automated discount for this evergreen campaign, and click Save Discount when done.
This discount will be available to any leads who enter the campaign until their unique deadline expires.
In this example, we have a 24-hour evergreen deadline, and we've set up a 20% discount on a t-shirt product in our Shopify store.
Whenever a new lead enters this campaign (through our email automation), they will have 24 hours from the time they enter the campaign to use their unique 20% discount on the t-shirt product. After their unique 24-hour deadline expires, the discount will be unavailable for that lead.
3. Add the Deadline Funnel webhook to your email automation to add new leads to your evergreen campaign
Copy the Deadline Funnel webhook for this campaign and add it to your email automation whenever you want the unique deadline and Shopify discount code to be created for each lead going through the automation:
In this example, we're using ActiveCampaign and we've added the Deadline Funnel webhook to the top of our welcome series automation in ActiveCampaign:
Whenever a new lead enters this campaign (through our email automation), they will have 24 hours from the time they enter the campaign to use their unique 20% discount on the t-shirt product. After their unique 24-hour deadline expires, the discount will be unavailable for that lead.
Note: Events sent from your email platform to Deadline Funnel (to create each lead's unique deadline and discount code) are rate limited at 600/minute.
Unique discount codes are created asynchronously for each lead when Deadline Funnel receives the event from your email platform. You may want to add a brief delay (between 1-5 minutes) between the webhook step in your automation and when you send the first email from the automation, to account for a potential small delay between when the event is received by Deadline Funnel and when the lead's unique discount code is created in Shopify.
4. Use the Deadline Funnel email link(s) in your emails anywhere you are linking to your special offer
Important: Use the Deadline Funnel email links anywhere in your email(s) where you are linking to your special offer.
For example, in my welcome series automation in ActiveCampaign, I am using the Deadline Funnel email link instead of linking directly to my t-shirt product in Shopify.
When a lead clicks on the Deadline Funnel email link in your email(s), they'll see the Deadline Funnel floating bar on your Shopify page and their unique discount will be automatically applied at checkout (before their deadline expires).
In this example, we've added the Deadline Funnel email link to the first email in our welcome series automation in ActiveCampaign:
5. (Optional) Add the Deadline Funnel email timer to your emails
You can also optionally add the Deadline Funnel email timer to your email(s).
The Deadline Funnel email timer is dynamic and will show each lead the amount of time remaining in their unique deadline.
In this example, we've added the Deadline Funnel email timer to the first email in our welcome series automation in ActiveCampaign:
6. Customize the Appearance
You can customize the Deadline Funnel floating bar in the Appearance section of your campaign:
Note that in order to see the floating bar live on your page(s), you will need to complete the testing steps below so you can go through the campaign as a new subscriber.
7. Test and Go Live
To test, add yourself as a new subscriber to your email automation.
Then you will be automatically added to your Deadline Funnel campaign (through the Deadline Funnel webhook that you added in step 3 above).
You can verify this by clicking on Analytics in the right sidebar of your campaign in Deadline Funnel:
Deadline Funnel will also create a unique discount for your subscriber (based on the discount settings you configured in step 2 above).
You can verify this by going to the Discounts tab of your Shopify campaign:
Now, open the email you received through your automation and click on the Deadline Funnel email link (that you added to your email(s) in step 4 above):
You will see the Deadline Funnel floating bar appear on your Shopify page:
Add your product to the cart and your unique discount code will be automatically applied at checkout:
After you complete your test and verify everything is working as expected, you're ready to go live!
You can see how your campaign is performing by opening your Campaign Dashboard in Deadline Funnel:
How to Create a Fixed-Date Campaign With Deadline Funnel and Shopify

→ Automatically redirect your special offer page(s) to a different page after the deadline expires
→ Embed the Deadline Funnel email timer in your emails to show each lead their unique deadline

2. Add Your Special Offer Page(s)
Add the pages that you want to include in this fixed-date campaign.
In this example, we've created a specific product that we'll give our audience access to before the deadline, and after the deadline they will be automatically redirected to a different product without the discount:
The after-the-deadline redirect is optional, and you can leave that blank if you do not want to redirect away from the page after the deadline expires.
You can also add multiple pages to your campaign if you want Deadline Funnel to appear on multiple pages/products/collections and/or redirect away from those pages/products/collections after the deadline expires.
3. (Optional) Use the Deadline Funnel email link(s) in your emails anywhere you are linking to your special offer
Using Deadline Funnel email links in your emails is completely optional for fixed-date campaigns.
If you are going to be sending marketing emails linking to the special offer page(s) (that you added in step 2 above), then you can optionally use the Deadline Funnel email link(s) in your email(s) when linking to those pages:
In this example, we've added the Deadline Funnel email link to the first email in our welcome series automation in ActiveCampaign:
4. (Optional) Add the Email Timer to Your Email(s)
You can also optionally add the Deadline Funnel email timer to your email(s).
The Deadline Funnel email timer is dynamic and will show each lead the amount of time remaining in their deadline.
In this example, we've added the Deadline Funnel email timer to a marketing email we're sending from ActiveCampaign:
5. Customize the Appearance
You can customize the Deadline Funnel floating bar in the Appearance section of your campaign:
