Which Campaign Type to Select

There are 11 different campaign types in Deadline Funnel. In this article, we will go through what they are and when you should use them.

One of the main differences between our campaign types is that some have non-fixed deadlines and some have fixed deadlines.

Fixed deadline campaigns are campaigns where everyone has the same deadline. For example, January 7th, or Monday each month.

Non-fixed deadline campaigns are campaigns where every lead has a unique deadline. If you set the deadline to be 7 days, each lead will have a 7-day deadline, no matter when they opted in.

Note: You can change the campaign type in your campaign at any time. You can do this by going to the Deadline tab on the left side of your campaign editor.

Evergreen

Deadline type: Every lead gets a unique deadline.

Best used for: Multi-day automated email sequences.

This campaign type is best used for campaigns where you have an email sequence, and when you want each lead to have a unique deadline.

Evergreen campaigns typically has a multi-day email sequence for your special offer. This is the most common campaign type to use.

Tripwire Offer

Deadline type: Every lead gets a unique deadline.

Best used for: Short 15-minute to 1-hour deadlines.

Tripwire offers are short deadlines with a low-priced offer. This campaign type is typically used when someone opts-in to your funnel, and you have a short-term offer.

Product Launch

Deadline type: Everyone gets the same deadline.

Best used for: When you release a new product.

Are you going to release a new product or course? This is the campaign type to use!

Holiday Promo

Deadline type: Everyone gets the same deadline.

Best used for: New Years, Black Friday and other special days.

Holidays are a great time to introduce new (or old) offers with a special price. Since all your campaigns are categorized by campaign type in the overview tab, it's easy to find your special holiday promos.

If you are creating a public offer during the holidays, then this is a great choice!

Flash Sale

Deadline type: Everyone gets the same deadline.

Best used for: Short promos to your subscribers.

Flash sales are usually short offers. For example, in one hour or tomorrow at midnight. Use this campaign type when you want to create a very short sale where everyone has the same deadline.

Abandoned Cart

Deadline type: Every lead gets a unique deadline.

Best for: Leads who abandoned their cart, or didn't purchase your offer.

Whenever a visitor abandoned their cart or didn't purchase your special offer, you can win them back by using the abandoned cart campaign type.

Automated Webinar

Deadline type: Every lead gets a unique deadline.

Best for: Webinars.

If you have a webinar or a similar video presentation, where you will present your offer, then this is the campaign type to choose. Every lead gets a unique deadline.

If you are using EverWebinar or EasyWebinar, these two articles are a good starting point:

Page-Only Deadline

Deadline type: Everyone gets the same deadline.

Best for: Public offers on your webpage.

This campaign type is great when you aren't using an email sequence in your funnel. You should use the Page-Only deadline when you only want to display your offer directly on your webpage.

This campaign type also works very well for paid traffic. For example, when you are running Meta ads for your special offer.

Limited Quantity

Deadline type: Everyone gets the same deadline.

Best for: When you have limited spots or quantity for your offer.

You should use the limited quantity campaign type when you want to present an offer with a limited quantity. For example, if you only have 100 available spots for your webinar, or 50 items left of your product.

The visitor will see how much quantity is left until the offer expires. I.e, the lead will see "Only XY spots left".

Hybrid

Deadline type: Everyone gets the same deadline.

Best for: Evergreen deadlines for a specific day, week, or month.

In a Hybrid campaign, you will be able to choose when the Evergreen campaign should end. For example:

  • Day of the week (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, etc.)

  • Day of the month (1, 2, 14, 25, etc.)

  • Day of the quarter (First, second, and third)

Announcement bar

Deadline type: None.

Best for: A banner that links to your opt-in page or special offer.

The announcement bar doesn't have a deadline. It's an announcement bar where you can link to your promo or opt-in page.

This is a great way to highlight free resources, promos, or lead magnets on your website.
