How to Integrate Deadline Funnel with Keap

In this example, we have an automation in Keap, which is a welcome series set to send emails with a special offer when someone subscribes. This is how we have set it up:

1. Copy Your Webhook

Open the Emails tab in your campaign editor, and copy the webhook:

2. Open Your Keap Automation

Inside your Keap automation, click on View and Edit:

3. Add HTTP module

Select Send an HTTP Request in the menu to the left, and then select Send email:

4. Add Your Webhook

Insert your webhook into the Target URL field. Make sure that the Method is set to Post:

5. Connect Actions

When you are done, click Save. Make sure to connect the actions in your sequence:

6. Save and Publish

Once you have added your webhook and connected the actions, you can Publish the changes in Keap:

That's it! You have now integrated your Keap automation with your Deadline Funnel campaign.

When a subscriber goes through this automation, they'll be automatically added to the Deadline Funnel campaign when they reach the webhook.

Add Deadline Funnel Email Links to Your Emails

Deadline Funnel email links are very important to use in your emails wherever you are linking to your special offer (i.e. sales page or checkout page) that subscribers will only be able to access before the deadline.

Deadline Funnel email links pass the subscriber's email address through the link so Deadline Funnel can look up the subscriber's deadline based on their email address and redirect them to your special offer page (or to the expired page if their deadline is expired).

How to Find Your Email Links

When you add a new page to your Deadline Funnel campaign, an email link is automatically generated for that specific page.

You can find your email links by going to the Emails tab on the left side of your campaign editor:

Testing Your Campaign

Before going live with your campaign, it's best to first test your campaign, to make sure that everything is working correctly.

1. Clear Your Tracking

Go to the Test Your Campaign tab on the left side of your campaign editor. Then, click on Clear My Tracking:

2. Add Your Test User

In the second step, you should add the email address of your test user. This is the email address that you will use when you opt in to your funnel:

You will now see that Deadline Funnel is waiting for your test user to be added to your funnel:

3. Add Yourself to The Funnel

You should now add your test user to your funnel, so that it goes through the webhook/tag.

It's recommended that you enter the funnel like a customer would. For example, if you have connected an opt-in form to your webhook, then you should opt in via that opt-in form.

In some platforms, you can also add your test user manually to the automation where you have the webhook/tag.

4. Event Received

Once your test user has gone through the webhook, you should see that the event was received in step 3:

You need to refresh the page in your browser for the new event to show up. It might also take a few minutes before the event shows up.

5. Click The Email Link

Lastly, you should click on the Deadline Funnel email link in step 4. When you visit the page, you should be able to see the timer on the page:

6. Check The Redirect

In Deadline Funnel, you can set up a redirect page that subscribers get redirected to once their deadline expires.

To make sure that the redirect is correct, you can go to the Analytics page and click on the three dots next to your test user. Edit the deadline to a date in the past, so that your deadline has expired:

Go back to the testing page, and click on your email link. If you have set up a redirect page, you should now be redirected away from the page when you try to visit the page.

If your test user has been received, and you can see the timer on your page, that means you're all set, and the campaign is ready to go live!
