How to Integrate Deadline Funnel and Mailchimp

In this article, we'll go through how you can integrate Deadline Funnel with your Mailchimp customer journey (automation), so you can automatically add leads to your Deadline Funnel campaign when they enter your customer journey in Mailchimp.

Add the Deadline Funnel webhook to your Mailchimp Customer Journey

Open the Campaign Editor in Deadline Funnel → Emails tab → click to copy the webhook for your Deadline Funnel campaign:


Open your Mailchimp Customer Journey → Add a journey step → Webhook:


​Paste the Deadline Funnel webhook into the "URL Destination" field in Mailchimp:


Copy this code to add the Content section of your webhook settings:


You can also copy the code from here:

Paste this code into the Content → Payload section of your webhook settings in Mailchimp:

Here's what the webhook should look like when you're done:

Then click Save, and you'll see your Deadline Funnel webhook in your Mailchimp Customer Journey:


How it Works:

Whenever a subscriber reaches this webhook step in your Mailchimp Customer Journey, they will be automatically added to your Deadline Funnel campaign and Deadline Funnel will generate a real deadline for them based on when they were added to the campaign.

You can update your deadline settings by going to Campaign Editor → Deadline in Deadline Funnel:


How to Test

First, confirm that your Mailchimp Customer Journey is live:

Next, add a test email address as a new subscriber to Mailchimp, and add that new subscriber to your Mailchimp Customer Journey:

Once you've added the contact, go back to your MailChimp Customer Journey to add the contact to your Customer Journey:

Then, go to your Campaign Editor → Analytics in Deadline Funnel:

And you'll see the subscriber added to your campaign, with the date/time they were added and their unique deadline:
