Note: You need to create a Deadline Funnel campaign before integrating with ThriveCart.

Deadline Funnel default behavior

The default behavior in Deadline Funnel is to always show a deadline on the page.

  • If the visitor has already been tracked by Deadline Funnel, then we'll show their existing deadline.

  • If they haven't been tracked yet, Deadline Funnel will start tracking them via their IP address/cookie, and display a new deadline for that user.

Video Tutorial:

Add the Deadline Funnel Tracking Code to your page

In order for Deadline Funnel to track people on your pages, display the timer, and redirect people away when it reaches zero, you need to add the Tracking Code to the settings of your page first.

To start, click on 'Tracking Code' at the top of your Deadline Funnel dashboard and click the first copy button:

Navigate back to your Product in your ThriveCart account and go to Checkout >> Tracking:

Paste your Deadline Funnel code into the 'Tracking' box labeled, 'All Pages: Paste tracking code to add to all of this product's pages':

Be sure to click 'Save & get URL' to save your changes.

Now that you've completed this step, you can follow these additional instructions to add a Floating Bar, Inline Timer, or Portal to your page.

How to Add a Floating Bar Timer

1. Log into your Thrive Cart account, navigate to 'Products' and click 'Get URL' so you can copy the URL for the product you want to integrate with Deadline Funnel:

2. Navigate back to Deadline Funnel and head to the Pages section. Click "Add New Page" at the top. Make sure that 'Display Floating Bar' is selected, add your ThriveCart page URL and optionally add a URL where each subscriber should be redirected to when their deadline expires and hit 'Save':

3. Now you can open your checkout page and see your countdown floating at the bottom. Here's an example of what the Floating Bar looks like:

That's it! You've now integrated your Deadline Funnel countdown into your Thrive Cart checkout page.

How to add an Inline Timer

Navigate to View All Campaigns > Edit Campaign > Pages, and add your ThriveCart URL. Select 'Display Inline Timer' and add your redirect URL if you want to have one.

Copy the HTML code to show your inline timer on your page, and click 'Save':

In the Design Editor, grab the HTML widget in the right-hand menu and drag it to the position where you want the inline timer to display.

Once the widget is in place, click to edit and paste the inline timer code into the HTML box on the left:

Click 'Done' and then 'Save & Exit' to save your settings.

Now you can go to your checkout page and you'll see the Inline timer displayed there

That's it! You've now integrated your Deadline Funnel countdown into your Thrive Cart checkout page.

How to add Portal

In your campaign in Deadline Funnel, head to the Pages section and click "Add New Page". Make sure that 'Display Portal' is selected, add your ThriveCart page URL and optionally add a URL where each subscriber should be redirected to when their deadline expires and hit 'Save':

Now refresh your ThriveCart page, and you should see Portal displayed. Here's an example of what it will look like:

How to use a pre-applied ThriveCart coupon code with Deadline Funnel

To pre-apply a ThriveCart discount coupon to your page, you need to add the coupon to your Deadline Funnel email link.

1. Follow the steps above to add the countdown timer to your ThriveCart page.

2. Now head over to ThriveCart and go to Products>>Coupons.

3. Click the 'Copy code' button and save the coupon code in your text editor

4. Head to the Emails section of your campaign and copy the Deadline Funnel Email link for your page:

5. Before you can use the email link to link out to your page from your emails, you need to apply the coupon to the email link.

To do that, add '&coupon=' and the coupon code that you copied in the previous step to the email link. It should look like this example:

6. Now make sure to use this adapted link everywhere that you link out to your sales page from your emails. When your subscribers click the link, they'll see the countdown timer, and the discount code will be pre-applied.

That's it! You've now integrated your Deadline Funnel countdown into your ThriveCart sales page.
