Deadline Funnel default behavior

The default behavior in Deadline Funnel is to always show a deadline on the page.

  • If the visitor has already been tracked by Deadline Funnel, then we'll show their existing deadline.

  • If they haven't been tracked yet, Deadline Funnel will start tracking them via their IP address/cookie, and display a new deadline for that user.

Add the Deadline Funnel Tracking Code to your page

In order for Deadline Funnel to track people on your pages, display the timer, and redirect people away when it reaches zero, you need to add the Tracking Code to the settings of your page first.

To start, click on 'Tracking Code' at the top of your Deadline Funnel dashboard and click the first copy button:

Back in ClickFunnels 2.0, navigate to the editor of the page you want to add the timer to. Click </> Code in the top menu and then paste the Tracking Code in the Footer Code box:

Then be sure to hit Save at the top to update your page.

Now that you've completed this step, you can follow these additional instructions to add a Floating Bar or Portal to your page.

Add a Floating Bar Countdown Timer to your ClickFunnels 2.0 page

In your campaign in Deadline Funnel, head to the Pages section and click "Add New Page". Make sure that 'Display Floating Bar' is selected, add your ClickFunnels 2.0 page URL and optionally add a URL where each subscriber should be redirected to when their deadline expires:

Now refresh your ClickFunnels 2.0 page, and you should see the Floating Bar. Here's an example of what it will look like:

Add an Inline Countdown Timer to your ClickFunnels 2.0 page

Go to the β€œPages” section of your Deadline Funnel campaign and click β€œAdd New Page”.

Make sure that 'Display Inline Timer' is selected, add your ClickFunnels 2.0 page URL and optionally add a URL where each subscriber should be redirected to when their deadline expires.

Before you hit save, make sure to copy the HTML snippet needed to add your Inline timer to your page:

Back in your page editor in ClickFunnels 2.0, select 'Add Element' in the space on the page where you want to add the Inline Timer:

Then select 'Custom JS/HTML':

Click on the new 'Custom JS/HTML' element and then click 'Open Code Editor':

Paste in the Inline Code Snippet.

The code will be automatically saved here, so you can close this window, and then be sure to click 'Save' in the top right-hand corner to save the changes to your page.

And that's it! Your inline countdown will now appear on your landing page.

Add Portal to your ClickFunnels 2.0 page

In your campaign in Deadline Funnel, head to the Pages section and click "Add New Page". Make sure that 'Display Portal' is selected, add your ClickFunnels 2.0 page URL and optionally add a URL where each subscriber should be redirected to when their deadline expires and hit 'Save':

Now refresh your ClickFunnels 2.0 landing page, and you should see Portal. Here's an example of what it will look like:
