In this guide, we'll show you how to integrate Deadline Funnel with MailerLite and use our email links in your MailerLite emails.
Integrate Deadline Funnel with Your MailerLite Automation
In the example below, we will set up an automation in MailerLite that sends the webhook to trigger the Deadline Funnel tracking.
As soon as a contact reaches that part of the automation, their unique deadline will begin in Deadline Funnel.
1. Copy the Webhook
Go to your Deadline Funnel campaign and copy your webhook:
2. Choose a Trigger
Open your MailerLite automation and choose a trigger. In this example, we have used "When subscriber completes a form". This means that the deadline will be triggered when a user submits a form on our website:
3. Create a Webhook in MailerLite
Once you've hit Save, click the plus icon and select Webhook:
4. Add the Webhook
On the right side of your screen, you should add your Deadline Funnel Webhook:
Paste your Deadline Funnel webhook (see step 1) to the "Webhook URL" field in MailerLite.
In the "Secret Key" field, you should write "Deadline Funnel":
5. Save
When you are done, click Save.
The integration is now complete. Any time a user enters your MailerLite automation and reaches the Deadline Funnel webhook step in the automation, they will be automatically added to your Deadline Funnel campaign, and Deadline Funnel will create a unique deadline for that lead for your special offer.
Add Deadline Funnel Email Links to Your Emails
Email links are crucial for tracking a lead's email address in your campaign. This is how you should use your Deadline Funnel email links.
1. Copy the Email Link
Navigate to the relevant campaign in your account and then click into the 'Emails' tab in the left-hand menu.
Select the correct Page URL and click on the Email Link to copy it so you can use it in your Keap email and automatically include the subscriber's email address in your link for tracking purposes:
2. Choose Where to Add Your Email Link
In your MailerLite email, highlight the text that you want to link to your sales page and then click the link button:
3. Insert the Email Link
Paste your Deadline Funnel Email Link URL into the link box shown and then click 'Insert':
Your email link now appears in your email and will track your subscribers who click that link and take them to your campaign page:
Test Your Integration
Once you've set up your integration, make sure to do a quick test to make sure all the pieces are connecting properly.
1. Clear Your Tracking
Open your campaign, go to the testing tab, and click on "Clear My Tracking":
2. Add Your Test User
In step two, fill out your email address for your test user and click next:
3. Add Your Test User in MailerLite
Add a test contact to your MailerLite automation. The best practice is to opt this email in the way a prospect would normally opt in.
4. Confirm Your Test User
Once you have opted in to your automation, you should be able to see the user in your campaign (it might take a few minutes, so make sure to wait and refresh the page):
If you can see that the event was received, it means that your integration is working!
