Getting Started

In this guide, we'll show you how to add a Deadline Funnel timer to your Shopify page.

This process involves 3 steps:

Deadline Funnel default behavior

The default behavior in Deadline Funnel is to always show a deadline on the page.

  • If the visitor has already been tracked by Deadline Funnel, then we'll show their existing deadline.

  • If they haven't been tracked yet, Deadline Funnel will start tracking them via their IP address/cookie, and display a new deadline for that user.

Create your Deadline Funnel campaign

You will need to create your first campaign before you can add your timer to a Shopify page.

Once you've created your Deadline Funnel campaign, you can follow the steps below to integrate with Shopify.

Adding Your Tracking Code to Shopify

1. Click on 'Themes' in your Shopify store editor:

2. Click the dropdown and select 'Edit Code':

3. Under 'Layout' click on 'theme.liquid':

4. Navigate to the 'Tracking Code' section of your Deadline Funnel dashboard and copy your Tracking Code:

5. Paste the Deadline Funnel tracking code into theme.liquid right before the closing header tag:

6. Click 'Save':

Now you're ready to add a Floating Bar, Inline timer, or Portal to your page.

How to add a Floating Bar Timer:

2. Navigate to Campaigns > Edit Campaign > Pages and add your product page URL, select 'Display Floating Bar', add your redirect URL, and click 'Save':

3. Save your changes and visit your product page to see your floating bar countdown timer. Here's an example of what the Floating Bar will look like:

2. Navigate to Campaigns > Edit Campaign > Pages and add your product page URL, select 'Display Inline Timer', add your redirect URL, copy the HTML code needed to display your timer inline, and click 'Save':

3. In the editor for your product page, click the source code icon in the 'Description' section:

4. Paste your Deadline Funnel HTML snippet into the source code wherever you would like your countdown timer to appear and click 'Save':

5. That's it! Refresh your page and your inline countdown will now appear on your product page:
