Getting Started

In this guide, we'll show you how to add a Deadline Funnel timer to your Leadpages page.

This process involves 3 steps:

Video Tutorial:

Deadline Funnel default behavior

The default behavior in Deadline Funnel is to always show a deadline on the page.

  • If the visitor has already been tracked by Deadline Funnel, then we'll show their existing deadline.

  • If they haven't been tracked yet, Deadline Funnel will start tracking them via their IP address/cookie, and display a new deadline for that user.

Create your Deadline Funnel campaign

You will need to create your first campaign before you can add your timer to a Leadpages page.

Once you've created your Deadline Funnel campaign, you can follow the steps below to integrate with Leadpages.

Adding Your Tracking Code to Leadpages

1. To add any kind of timer to a LeadPages page, start by clicking on the 'Tracking Code' tab in the top menu of Deadline Funnel and hit Copy:

2. Now open up your page editor in Leadpages and paste the Deadline Funnel tracking code into the 'Head Section Tracking Code' under Settings > Analytics and click 'Save':

Now you're ready to add a Floating Bar, Inline timer, or Portal to your page.

How to add a Floating Bar

1. After you've added the tracking code to your page (and if you haven't yet, start here), you're ready to add the timer. Return to your Leadpages page and click to view it so you can get the correct URL to add in Deadline Funnel.

2. Navigate to the Pages section of your campaign to add a new page, then add your Leadpages URL, select 'Display Floating Bar', add a redirect URL, and then click 'Save':

3. You can now view your Leadpages page to see your Floating Bar countdown timer.

How to add an Inline Timer

1. After you've added the tracking code to your page (and if you haven't yet, start here), you're ready to add the timer. Navigate to Pages in your Deadline Funnel campaign to add a new page. Add your Leadpages URL, select 'Display Inline Timer', add your redirect URL, copy the HTML Code you need to display your timer inline, and click 'Save':

2. Navigate to the Leadpages Editor and click on the 'Widgets' icon to add an HTML area where you want your countdown to appear, then click on the HTML widget to open up a little box where you can add your HTML:

3. Paste the Inline code from Deadline Funnel here and hit 'Save'. Then Click 'Update' to update your Leadpage:

4. Preview your page and you will see your countdown:

You can add multiple HTML widgets to your Leadpage to add additional instances of your countdown to the same page.

How To Add Portal

1. After you've added the tracking code to your page (and if you haven't yet, start here), you're ready to add the timer. Return to your Leadpages page and click to view it so you can get the correct URL to add in Deadline Funnel.

2. In Deadline Funnel, Navigate to Campaigns > Edit Campaign > Pages and add your Leadpages page URL, select 'Display Portal', add your redirect URL, and click 'Save':

3. Refresh your page and you will see your Portal in the bottom corner. Here's an example of what Portal looks like:
