In this guide:

What has changed?

In the old version of the Analytics page, a single subscriber in your email platform could show up more than once in your Deadline Funnel campaign. 😬

For example, if a subscriber was tracked in Deadline Funnel with two IP addresses, the old version of the Analytics page displayed that as two "tracking started" events.

It was also possible to see the same subscriber show up more than one time on the Analytics page of your campaign with different deadlines! 🤦

Now, there's a single unified view for every subscriber!

In the new Analytics page, subscribers should only appear one time in your Deadline Funnel campaign.

That means that when you search for a specific subscriber in your campaign, you will only see one deadline for that subscriber - the same deadline that Deadline Funnel will display to the subscriber in your emails and on your website.

This also means that if a subscriber has already been tracked in a Deadline Funnel campaign, that even if they go through the webhook or Zap again, Deadline Funnel will not create a new tracking record for them.

This is the expected behavior because sending a subscriber through a webhook or Zap is not designed to clear any existing tracking for that subscriber. Otherwise, someone could just opt-in again to reset their deadline, which would defeat the purpose of a lot of what we do. 🙂

You can check if someone has been previously tracked in that campaign by going to the Analytics page of your campaign in Deadline Funnel, and searching for their email address.

Video Tutorial:

How to view the tracking details for a specific subscriber

On the Analytics page of your Deadline Funnel campaign, click on the ellipsis next to a subscriber's email address:

That will display more details about the different emails and IP addresses that Deadline Funnel has associated with that subscriber:

Clicking view more will take you to the People page in your Deadline Funnel account:

How to change the deadline for a subscriber in your Deadline Funnel campaign

It is now possible for you to manually adjust the deadline for your subscribers.

On the Analytics page, click on the Deadline Started date for a subscriber:

This will open a date picker where you can change the date the subscriber was added to your campaign:

Changing the start date automatically updates the deadline for that subscriber.

How to remove a subscriber from a Deadline Funnel campaign

On the Analytics page for your Deadline Funnel campaign, search for the subscriber by their email address, and click the delete icon for that subscriber:

This will remove the subscriber from this Deadline Funnel campaign.

Note:

In some cases even after removing the subscriber from your campaign, you may still need to send them a public reset link in order for them to clear their tracking and access your special offer again.

We are continuing to work to minimize how often this is necessary, but it can happen occasionally.

How to remove email addresses or IP addresses that are attached to a subscriber

On the People page in your Deadline Funnel account, search for the subscriber by their email address, and click the ellipsis to view the emails and IP addresses that Deadline Funnel is currently tracking for that subscriber:

You can select one or more email addresses or IP addresses to remove those tracking identifiers from the subscriber's record in Deadline Funnel.

If you remove all email addresses and IP addresses associated with a subscriber, then Deadline Funnel will remove this subscriber from any campaigns they are currently tracked in.

How to remove a subscriber from all Deadline Funnel campaigns

On the People page in your Deadline Funnel account, search for the subscriber by their email address, and click the ellipsis to view more details for that subscriber.

Then, select all email addresses and IP addresses associated with that subscriber and click Delete:

This will remove the subscriber from all Deadline Funnel campaigns in your account.

Note:

In some cases even after removing the subscriber from your campaign, you may still need to send them a public reset link in order for them to clear their tracking and access your special offer again.

We are continuing to work to minimize how often this is necessary, but it can happen occasionally.

How to manually import a subscriber to your Deadline Funnel campaign

You have the ability to trigger a deadline manually for a specific lead or group of leads.

You can use the 'Import' feature to add email(s) and instantly trigger your campaign for those specific email(s).

Navigate to the Deadline Funnel campaign you want to use and click on 'Analytics' in the top blue bar.

Then click the 'Import' button:

Choose between importing a list of subscribers or individual subscribers:

If you choose "Import Bulk", you can add multiple subscribers to your campaign at one time. Add the first names, emails, and tracking start dates for the lead(s) you want to add to your Deadline Funnel Campaign and click 'Import tracking events':

If you choose "Import Single Entries", you can add one or more rows and add the first name, email, and tracking start date in the respective fields and then click "Import Tracking Events". If you're adding multiple subscribers, you can also choose the "Use the same start date for all" option:

The emails you imported are now included in your event tracking with an appropriate deadline:

What's next?

Moving forward, our team is continuing to work on improvements to the new Analytics and People pages so that you always have a clear picture of the subscribers that are going through your Deadline Funnel campaigns. 🙂

We are also in the process of rolling out the final phases of some important behind-the-scenes updates to the underlying "engine" of how Deadline Funnel tracks subscribers in your account, in your campaigns, and how that information is stored and connected internally.

Please stay tuned for more updates on this in the near future!
