Video Tutorial
Watch this video to learn how to create and launch your first Deadline Funnel campaign:
1. Enter your campaign name and select your sales/checkout and email platforms
First, give your campaign a name and then select the apps you use for your checkout page, sales pages, and email platform.
2. Choose a campaign type and deadline and then click Create Campaign
Choose from more than 10 different campaign types:
Evergreen - Multi-day automated email sequence for your special offer. Unique deadline for each lead.
Tripwire Offer - Short 15-minute to 1-hour deadline + low-priced offer immediately after opting in. Unique deadline for each lead.
Product Launch - Launch (or re-launch!) a product/offer to your audience. Everyone gets the same deadline.
Holiday Promo - Black Friday, New Year’s, or any other special days. Everyone gets the same deadline.
Flash Sale - Short promo to a segment of your list. Everyone gets the same deadline, e.g. in 1 hour or tomorrow at 2pm.
Abandoned Cart - Win back lost customers who don’t purchase a public offer on your website. Unique deadline for each lead.
Automated Webinar - Present video training + special offer based on video engagement. Unique deadline for each lead.
Page-Only Deadline - Short deadline that starts when a visitor lands on a page. Public offers on your website or paid traffic direct to offer.
Limited Quantity - Cohorts, coaching, communities, physical products. Offer goes away after X buyers or when deadline expires.
Hybrid - Evergreen deadline for a specific day of the week, month, or quarter.
Announcement Bar - Add a banner to your website that links to an optin page or promo. Convert more website visitors to leads and buyers.
Then set your deadline for the campaign and click Create Campaign.
3. Add your special offer page and where to redirect leads after the deadline expires
Please verify that you have added the Deadline Funnel code to the header of any website/page where you want Deadline Funnel to appear.
4. Integrate Deadline Funnel with your email platform
If you have selected Evergreen, Tripwire Offer, Abandoned Cart, or Automated Webinar, you will see a step to integrate with your email platform so you can automatically add leads to your Deadline Funnel campaign.
Update your emails to use the Deadline Funnel email links anywhere you are linking to your special offer page or any other page that you have added to this campaign.
And you can also add an email timer to your emails:
5. Customize how Deadline Funnel appears in your website and emails in the appearance editor
You can customize the floating bar, Portal, inline timer, and email timer:
6. Complete the campaign Quickstart ✅ and set up sales tracking 💰
Review your campaign Quickstart and make sure everything is done!
And then set up sales tracking so you can track your campaign's performance.
Deadline Funnel makes it really easy to see how many leads are going through each of your campaigns and how much revenue you're generating... all in one place.
7. Test your campaign before you go live 🚀
If you are creating a Product Launch, Holiday Promo, Flash Sale, or Limited Quantity campaign:
Open the Testing tab in your campaign editor and click on the URL:
When you open your page, you should be able to see the Deadline Funnel floating bar.
We should also test to see what happens after the deadline expires. To do that, go to the Deadline tab in your campaign editor and change the deadline, temporarily, to a date in the past:
After you've updated the deadline, visit your page again. You should now be redirected to your "After the deadline" page:
If you were redirected, then you're all set! Once you're done testing, change the deadline back to the date you want to use for your campaign.
If you are creating an Evergreen, Tripwire Offer, Abandoned Cart, or Automated Webinar campaign:
Open your campaign, go to the testing tab, and click on "Clear My Tracking":
In step two, fill out your email address for your test user and click next:
Add a test contact to your automation. The best practice is to opt this email in the way a prospect would normally opt in. Please remember to opt in with the email address you added in step 2.
Once you have opted in to your automation, you should be able to see the user in your campaign (it might take a few minutes, so make sure to wait and refresh the page):
If you can see that the event was received, it means that your integration is working!
Once you've completed your initial testing, we recommend asking a friend to help review and run another test to make sure everything looks good. 🔥
And that's it! 🎉
