Articles for specific Webinar Platforms

We integrate with several webinar platforms and if you see the platform you're using in the list below you should click the link and follow those specific instructions:

Video Overview:

In this video, we provide an overview of how you can use Deadline Funnel to create limited-time offers for your automated webinars.

Emails

There are two types of emails you'll be sending:

  • Pre-webinar (registration links, reminders)

  • Post-webinar (replay, sales emails)

You can use whatever webinar software you're working with to send all of the pre-webinar notifications, but it's important to use your actual email platform (e.g. ActiveCampaign) for sending out all emails after the webinar happens.

This means that your replay email as well as your post-webinar sales emails need to be sent from your email platform (e.g. ActiveCampaign), and not sent through your webinar platform.

Two integration options

There are two main ways to integrate Deadline Funnel with your automated webinar.

If you are using one of these email platforms:

  • ActiveCampaign

  • AWeber

  • ConvertKit

  • Drip

  • Keap (Previously Infusionsoft)

  • Ontraport

And they have a direct integration with your webinar platform, follow the direct integration method:

If you are using a different email platform, follow the optin integration method.

Direct integration method

The first step of the direct integration method is to integrate your webinar platform with your email platform.

The most important part of this step is that you send these two tags from your webinar platform to your email platform, as shown in the following screenshot (Note: In this example we are using Demio):

  • A tag that is applied when someone "came to the webinar" - e.g. samplewebinar-attended-webinar

  • A tag that is applied when someone "did not come" - e.g. samplewebinar-missed-webinar

The next step of the direct integration method is to integrate Deadline Funnel with your email platform, so that whenever either of those two tags are applied in your email platform, Deadline Funnel starts the tracking for that subscriber.

Please click on one of the following links to view the integration guide for your email platform:

Add the Tracking Pixel to your Live Webinar Page:

This is an important step if you're going to trigger the deadline based on when a subscriber attends your webinar.

The Tracking Pixel will trigger the deadline for your subscribers' IP address based on when they attend the webinar, which will allow you to link them directly to the sales page from your webinar and ensure that they see the correct timer.

In the Deadline Funnel, navigate to Edit Campaign > Settings > Advanced and copy your tracking pixel:

Then navigate to your webinar platform and find where you can add custom code to your webinar pages. This is usually found in an 'Advanced' section of your Settings, but if you're unsure of where to find it, you can reach out to the support team of your webinar platform and they should be able to direct you to the correct place. Most platforms will have different sections for code for each page - Thank You Page, Live Room, Replay, etc.

Once you've found the correct place, paste your Deadline Funnel tracking pixel into the appropriate spot for the live webinar page and save it.

And you're all set!

Optin integration method:

If you are using a different email platform than the ones previously listed, then you will need to use the optin integration method to trigger the deadline.

Important notes: When using this method to trigger, you must make sure that you only allow same-day/just-in-time registration. Doing this keeps the number of days between the registration event and the deadline for your promotion a specific number of days.

In some cases this might not be ideal for what you had planned, but it's required in order to synchronize the timing of your follow-up emails and the Deadline Funnel tracking - since your webinar platform won't be able to tell your email system to apply a tag based on attendance.
